Venous Insufficiency / Reflux Duplex Ultrasound
Venous Reflux Ultrasound for Vein Clinics
A venous insufficiency or reflux study maps the superficial and deep venous systems and measures reflux at the saphenous junctions and along the truncal veins, typically with the patient standing or in reverse Trendelenburg.
How we perform this study at your facility
Vein practices live and die by the quality of their reflux mapping — the study drives the treatment plan for every ablation and phlebectomy that follows. We perform full protocols with documented reflux times and vein diameters at the levels your physicians want them.
For a practice launching or expanding a vein programme, we can pair reflux mapping with our practice development support so the imaging protocol, worksheet and workflow are set up correctly from the first patient.
Our vascular technologists trained through the Rush University vascular ultrasound program and hold RVT certification.
Interpretation remains with the physician responsible for the patient's care. Our role is to deliver a complete, well-documented examination at your location — it does not replace evaluation by the patient's physician.
