Frequently asked questions.
- What types of facilities do you serve?
- We serve vein clinics, cardiology offices, primary care offices, nephrology offices, hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, podiatry offices, vascular and interventional practices, and other medical specialist and physician practices. If your facility type is not listed, call (708) 971-3114 and we will tell you whether we can help.
- Do you bring your own ultrasound equipment?
- Yes. Our technologists arrive with the ultrasound equipment needed for the scheduled studies and work in your existing rooms or at the patient's bedside, so your facility does not need to own or maintain a system.
- What geographic area do you cover?
- We provide mobile imaging throughout Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, working from our base in Orland Park, Illinois. That includes Cook, DuPage, Will, Lake, Kane, Kendall and McHenry counties in Illinois and Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties in Indiana.
- What certifications do your technologists hold?
- All of our technologists are credentialed and experienced, and hold RVT certification. Our vascular technologists trained through Rush University's vascular ultrasound program.
- How does RVT staffing contracting work?
- We provide RVT staffing on three, six and nine month contracts, which lets a facility plan dependable coverage rather than improvise around gaps. Call (708) 971-3114 to discuss which term fits your schedule.
- Can you cover a specific procedure day rather than a full contract?
- Yes. Procedure day ultrasound assistance places an experienced technologist in your treatment room for scheduled procedure days, providing imaging support as directed by the treating physician. It can be booked on its own or inside a longer staffing contract.
- Do you handle billing?
- Yes. We offer direct billing, or support for your existing in-house billing operations, depending on which arrangement your practice prefers.
- Can you help us start a new vein program?
- Practice development is one of our services. We assist with launching or expanding vein care programs, and can also source and coordinate clinical supplies and essential office-use products and equipment. Call (708) 971-3114 to talk through what your program needs.
- Which ultrasound studies do you perform?
- Arterial Doppler, venous Doppler and DVT studies, venous insufficiency and reflux studies, carotid duplex, abdominal aortic evaluation, ABI and TBI testing, upper extremity arterial and venous studies, dialysis access mapping and maturation studies, echocardiography, general ultrasound, and procedure day ultrasound assistance.
- Do you interpret the studies or produce the report?
- Our technologists perform the examination and document the images and worksheet. Interpretation is performed by the physician responsible for the patient's care; our service supplies the imaging, not the diagnosis.
- Do you offer screening events for our patients or community?
- Yes. We offer preventative vascular and cardiac screening at physician offices, community centers, nursing homes, senior living communities, corporate wellness programs, religious organizations, and health fairs. Screening is for preventative purposes only and is not a complete diagnostic evaluation.
- How do we get started?
